The Education and Training program offers training for businesses and professional development for economic development practitioners. Workshops, seminars, and conferences are coordinated in partnership with local economic development councils and non-profit associations. Several publications to assist with community efforts are also available through the program.

CML Credits : Association of Washington Cities will give 7 CML credits in the Community Planning and Development core competency areas to elected officials who are AWC members.  

Cancellation policy : A fee of $25 will be charged for cancellations made on or before Tuesday, April 3. Cancellations made after April 3 will require full payment.

Northwest Economic Development Course

The annual Northwest Economic Development Course is the premier event offering intensive training in the basic concepts, methods, and strategies of local economic development. A diverse and experienced faculty provides an excellent blend of theory and practice. Course content is oriented toward practical application.  Practitioners new to the field as well as those with experience seeking new ideas and tools are encouraged to attend.
