Overview

Larger than several states, Okanogan County is bordered on the north by the Canadian Okanogan, on the south and east by the Columbia River Basin and Lake Roosevelt, and on the west by the 10,000-foot peaks of the majestic North Cascades Mountains.

Along with the traditional natural resources, industries such as agriculture, timber, and mining, other sectors are beginning to play a larger role in the local economy. Value-added agriculture is also becoming more prevalent.
