Local companies are valuable resources to help communities grow and thrive. Existing business create 60 to 80% of all new jobs. These local companies generate additional employment and create new businesses and tax revenues to boost local economies. The Washington State Department of Commerce works closely with small businesses throughout the state to encourage private sector investment and job creation through our regional services program.
This program partners with local organizations, state agencies and service providers to:
- Maximize private sector job creation and investment.
- Promote retention and growth of businesses
- Provide a range of other services and connection
The regional services program works with local businesses to retain or expand their employment and operations in the state of Washington. Our resources are available to all local companies including:
- High growth industries
- High wage industries
- Companies with a majority of customers outside Washington state
