Local companies are valuable resources to help communities grow and thrive. Existing business create 60 to 80% of all new jobs. These local companies generate additional employment and create new businesses and tax revenues to boost local economies. The Washington State Department of Commerce works closely with small businesses throughout the state to encourage private sector investment and job creation.
